About School of Arts
The School of Arts and Social Sciences has remained focused on the provision of quality teaching, learning and research for decades. In harmony with the University philosophy, the School continues to mentor and produce competent graduates with theoretical and applied skills requisite for innovation. The integration of Information Technology into all undergraduate programmes in the School equips our graduates competitive knowledge and skills for individual and corporate endeavour. Further, the gradual shift from multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary studies towards trans-disciplinary curriculum review and development in the School makes our graduates adequately grounded to effectively participate in holistic engagement with and implementation of social development strategies.
The University staff training policy has enabled the School to maintain quality service delivery to cope with the exponential growth in student enrolment. Accordingly, the School has remained the preferred choice for under-graduate and post-graduate studies in East African region and beyond.
