Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Geography
Bachelor of Education degree (B . Ed Arts).
I am lecturing at the Department of Geography and Natural Resources Management and the Department of Meteorology, Climate Change, and Development. My areas of Interest are in Geographic Medicine, Climatology, and Climate change Impacts, Vulnerability, Adaptation, and Mitigation. I am currently working on my Ph.D. Thesis at Maseno University, Department of Geography and Natural Resources Management.
I have been trained and acquired several skills. The skills include curriculum development and review, both individual and collaborative research, Climate change policy development, capacity building/ facilitation, consultancies, workshop organization, mainstreaming of climate change in various sectors, Green Climate Fund (GCF) proposal writing, and evaluation of learning Resources Materials for the Competency-Based Curriculum. I have participated in several workshops and conferences both within and abroad ( Beijing, Bayreuth- Germany, Bonn- Germany, Austria, Mexico, New Delhi- India)
I have been in leadership in various capacities, as a fieldwork coordinator, exam and time- table coordinator, a committee member of restructuring of the university programmes, patron, Board of Management, Chairperson of sub-committee of the Climate change working group, representative of the Academia and Research Institutions at the Climate Change Working Group, Kisumu County. I have some publications in peer-reviewed journals.
